A weekly collection of songs I can't stop listening to, posted Mondays. This week: new Gucci, doo-wop music, and songs about New York, from Frank Sinatra to The Chainsmokerz.

The genre of doo-wop is entirely new to me. I was inspired to dive in this week thanks to an NPR interview with ?uestlove of The Roots, a man who needs no introduction. He cited bands like Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers as musical inspirations, so naturally, I loaded up the band's Spotify and just hit "shuffle." During a 70-block walk this Saturday, I listened to more upbeat crooning than I thought possible. Strangest of all, I actually enjoyed some of the tracks. My favorites ("Why Do Fools Fall in Love?" and "Lonely Teardrops") are in this week's WILT.
