A weekly collection of songs I can't stop listening to, posted Mondays. This week: Flume, Raury, KAYTRANADA, and the latest from jazz artist Gregory Porter.

I first discovered Porter in this month's issue of 1843 Magazine. On their glowing recommendation, I sat down to listen to Porter's phenomenal Liquid Courage album. Or rather, I didn't sit - I played Liquid off laptop speakers as I cooked dinner one night, and by the time the fish was out of the pan around halfway through Porter's set, I was sold. The big vocals, the smooth instrumentals: each song sounds like a man spilling his soul with only a microphone as outlet for a flood of heart. The title says it best - Porter's sound is fluid, liquid, and like the best-aged liquid courage of all, unbeatably smooth.
